Providing employment services for the Chin Community in Indiana is one of the greatest ongoing services that CCI provides. CCI believes in a simple concept that ‘having employment will bring income to the family and will also help enrich the State of Indiana’. This program also aims to help individuals and families to become self-sufficient by having a steady source of income.
CCI Employment Services mainly includes the following:
- Helping individuals find a good fit for employment by providing orientation which offers crucial information about the employer
- Translating documents and helping individuals search and find a job
- Building relationships and networking with employers and staffing agencies
- Reaching out to the employers and offering help in language interpretation and conflict resolutions as needed
CCI Employment Specialist
The employment specialist, who is also the Chin Center Manager, is working full time Monday through Friday and on the weekend as needed to ensure that anyone in our community needing a job will find one.
Our goal for the year 2018 is to help at least 1000 individuals get a stable full time job so that the families will become more self sufficient.
In order to achieve this goal, CCI is working hard on various strategies and practical out-reach programs to potential employers and staffing agencies. CCI regularly holds job fair days at the Chin Center.
